We have four basic sources of weather information.

1. CNN--

This is kind of a no-brainer with a little picture of a cloud or a sun to show what somebody thinks will happen for the next five days. Click here to go there

2. Naval Pacific Meteorological and Oceangraphy Center (NAVPACMETOCCEN).

This is the US Navy weather facility located in Hawaii. Within this web page is the JOINT TYPHOON WARNING CENTRE (JTWC). This page (JTWC) provides excellent current data regarding storms and typhoons and provides written prognosis and discussion as well as satellite imagery. Click here to go to the home page. Once you are there click "JTWC" in the tool bar on the top of the page. You are interested in "Western Pacific". We always check the gif graphic first.

3. Hong Kong Observatory.

The Observatory issues a "Daily Weather" map which is valid as of 8:00AM and is generally on the web page by about 1:00PM (HKG time which is GMT+8). Click here to go there.

4. PAGASA

This is the Philippine Governement weather facility. Unfortunately, the web page is not their primary means of information dissemination so it sometimes lags a little on the updates. Click here to go there.
