Coron is presently served by TWO licensed, insured and professionally operated air taxi services ( SEAIR ) and two major Shipping lines (WG&A) and Sulpicio Lines
We have daily air service and a twice weekly overnight ferry service from Manila.
SEAIR flys LET 410 aircraft. These are 19 passenger, high wing, turbo prop airplanes. The trip takes one hour.
SEAIR flys daily flights at 7:15am.
There are flights to and from El Nido and Puerto Princessa on Mondays and Fridays
See the detail SEAIR schedule below.
There are one or two aircraft operators operating into
a grass strip near Coron Town. They are mostly involved in the transport
of live fish from Coron to Manila (enroute to your favourite seafood restaurant
in Hong Kong) BUT we occasionally hear of them soliciting passengers. The
strip is not licensed by ATO (for a lot of valid reasons). We suggest you
personally check the status of their ATO licensing, insurance, and
safety record before considering what appears to be a cheap and convenient
ride. You can readmore about hese operators in some tour guides and many
ATO safetey and accident reports.
Seair flies into the official "BUSUANGA AIRPORT" which
is located on the Yulo-King Ranch. The airport is approximately 28 kilometers
from town.
The Seair Ground Agent provides open-type jeepney transfer to Coron Town. The ride takes almost one hour and the fare is 150 pesos (US$ 3.00+). The jeepney leaves for town when the Ground Agent has finished his duties associated with the flight.
We can arrange an air conditioned wagon for a more elegant
(and less dusty) arrival. We send a "greeter" with the car and it leaves
the airport as soon as you are ready. Trip takes about 45 minutes.
WG&A
provides weekly service with "SuperFerry One". She is a 4,400 tonne, 116
meter long ship.
She sails at 15 knots (more than 30 kilometers/hour). All accommodation is air conditioned. The voyage takes 10 hours.
"Our Lady " sails from Manila North Harbor at 9:00PM Fridays. She arrives Coron at 7:00AM Saturdays.
The return voyage leaves Coron at 8:00PM Sunday and arrives Manila at 6:00AM Mondays.
"SuperFerry One" docks at the East end of Coron. It's a 5 minute tricycle ride to the KALAMAYAN INN. If we know you are arriving, a staff member will meet you at the pier and guide you to the INN
Sulpicio Lines provides a similiar service scheduled to
leave Manila at 9:00PM Thursday and arrive Coron at 9:00AM Fridays. We
have found it difficult to schedule other activities around the Sulpicio
ACTUAL departure and arrival times.
There are other vessels sailing to Coron out of Manila and Batangas City. You may find reference to them in guide books and other sources. Our friends and family do not travel on them.
We will be happy to help with bookings and ticketing as part of our Guest Services.
We can also deal with Manila overnights and transfers and can arrange economical stop overs.
