Day Activities 
 
 

Coron Bay is the final resting place of a Japanese Fleet which met its fate one morning in September 1944. The wrecks have been declared a National Heritage Site and are protected by law. In addition to the wrecks we also have some of the best reef and coral diving in Asia.

Our special treat is the freshwater lakes on Coron Island. Hike up a mountain trail in the jungle and THEN go diving. Experience the thermocline and watch for Mr. Baracuda. He likes the company and spends his afternoons with the divers.

The major Dive Shops in town are ABC DIVE,DIVE RIGHT, DISCOVERY DIVERS, LAPU-LAPU DIVERS, SCUBA WORLD, SCUBA VENTURE, AND SEA DIVE.

The KALAMAYAN INN is within a five minute walk of all the shops.

Exploring & Island Hopping
 

Spend a day (or two or three) Island Hopping with your own motorized banca and guide. Poke around the uninhabited islands at the East end of Coron bay, Explore the coves and lagoons of Coron Island. Climb the "jungle trail" to the freshwater lakes on Coron Island. Visit the Makinit hot springs.

The INN will pack a humongous lunch for you and make all the arrangements with the banca operator and guide.
