| The GIS Unit has an organized collection of computer hardware and geographic data designed to efficiently capture, store, update, analyze, process and display all forms of geographically referenced information. | ||

| The FMB has a seed testing laboratory which conducts germination and/or viability tests of forest tree seeds, as well as provides technical assistance/advice on seed handling. Likewise, the agency has a state-of-art seed storage facility. | ||
|
|
||
| The FMB has a soil laboratory which conducts soil sampling/profiling and analysis and provides information on the physical properties (texture and structure) and chemical properties/ composition (pH, N, P, K, etc.) of soil that influence plant/tree growth. | ||
|
|
||
| FMB is also maintaining a library with a collection of 4,000 books on forestry and allied technical subjects, journals and magazines. It provides technical assistance to officials, employee, students from various schools, universities and other researchers from government and private offices/individuals. | ||
